The WTA 500 Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic 2022 will be played on the outdoor hard courts in San Jose, California, USA. The competition is a part of the US Open Series ahead of the U.S. Open in New York. Previously, from 1997–2017 the competition was called the Stanford Classic, however, the event was switched to the campus at San Jose State University in 2018 and the tournament was renamed the Silicon Valley Classic.
