The Rome Masters, also known as the Italian Open, is an annual tennis tournament held in Rome, Italy. It is a men's and women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts and is a part of the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Tour and the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) Tour.
The tournament has a rich history dating back to 1930 when it was first held in Milan. However, it was moved to Rome in 1935 and has been held there ever since. The Rome Masters is considered one of the most important clay court events on both the men's and women's tennis calendars and is considered a key warm-up tournament ahead of the French Open.
Some of the most successful players in the history of the Rome Masters include Rafael Nadal, who has won the men's singles title 10 times, and Chris Evert, who has won the women's singles title five times. Other notable players who have won the tournament include Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, Monica Seles, and Serena Williams.

In May of 2023, the Rome Open tennis tournament is scheduled to occur from the 8th to the 21st. Singles qualifying matches are planned for the initial days of May 8th and 9th. From the 10th of May, the main draws will begin.
