The AKA bett1 Open, also known as the WTA Berlin Open or German Open, is a WTA 500 grass-court tennis event held in Berlin, Germany. The German Open is the oldest event on the WTA Tour schedule; it was first played in 1896. Previously, the competition was a clay court tournament, and for the first time in 2021, it was played on grass courts.
